The chain bucket dredger is a mechanical dredger with a long history and wide application. Its core feature is that it

uses an infinitely circulating chain bucket wrapped around a bucket bridge (also called a guide frame) to continuously

excavate underwater soil or silt.

Working principle:

The bucket bridge is lowered to the bottom of the water, and the lower guide wheel (or the end of the bucket bridge)

at its bottom contacts the excavation surface.

The power drives the upper guide wheel to rotate, driving the bucket chain to circulate along the bucket bridge track.

When the bucket runs to the bottom of the bucket bridge, it cuts into the bottom soil or silt and digs it up.

The bucket filled with materials runs upward along the chain and crosses the water body.

When the bucket runs to the top of the bucket bridge, the bucket flips or pours the materials into the discharge chute

through the unloading mechanism.The empty bucket runs down along the outside (or inside) of the bucket bridge and

returns to the bottom to start the next excavation cycle.

By retracting and releasing the anchor cable or operating the positioning pile, the whole ship moves slowly in steps so

that the bucket chain covers the new excavation surface.
